Background.

I’m Nicola, a therapist who gets it.

For over 25 years I worked in Mental Health Services, Neuropsychology and Brain Injury Case Management. High pressure environments, with people facing complex problems. The kind of work where you can't drop the ball and switching off feels impossible.

That work taught me how much people carry while still looking like they're coping. So when you tell me you understand your problem completely and still can't shift it, I get it. That gap is exactly where I work.

A person wearing a striped sweater is holding a blue pen over papers with handwritten notes or drawings on a wooden table. In the background, there is a white coffee mug, a laptop, and some books.

Early in my career, I used traditional talking therapies with clients. And yes, they helped people gain valuable insights and spot patterns. But actually resolving the issues? In my experience, that was a different story. People would understand why they felt the way they did but they'd still feel stuck. It frustrated me and I wanted more for them.

So I went beyond my psychology degree; exploring neuroscience, mind-body connections and how change actually happens. That's how I found hypnosis and suddenly it clicked. The unconscious mind is where your patterns actually live; your automatic reactions, your emotional responses, the habits you can't seem to break. And if you work with it directly, things actually shift.

Two women sitting across from each other in a bright room with large windows, having a conversation. One woman is holding a mug, the other writing in a notebook. There is a round wooden table with a glass of water, a small object, and keys. The room has modern decor, including a large floor lamp, a light-colored sofa, and a patterned rug.

Then I found IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Technique) and it changed everything. Feelings and memories people had carried for decades, sometimes their whole lives, would shift in a couple of sessions. Sometimes less. I watched people walk out lighter, calmer, freer. That's when I knew I'd found what I'd been looking for.

I use these approaches in my own life too. I didn't just learn them in a textbook. I live them.

Sessions with me don't feel like traditional therapy. They feel like a conversation with someone who gets it and knows how to help you get unstuck fast. My goal is real, lasting change. So you feel lighter, calmer and actually enjoy your life again
